2 San Andreas Tips
1. Ok, in the first chapter
of San Andreas, there is a mission where some guys have raised a drunken
rabble and must be killed. I found that using the porkcharsui and
buckfast codes, I could go onto the ramp
leading up to the main highway,
far enough back where their bullets didn't hit me, zoom out and fire rockets
at them. If you move to various points on the ramp, one is bound
to hit one of the guys, frying the others. This is much more effective
than running in shooting a stream of bullets.
2. This one is also to do with the first chapter of San Andreas. If you are a mega cheater who likes to play without cops, there is one task that requires finding a cop car. You may think it's game over, but it's not. Using a bus or vehicle that you crawl under, park right up to the fence of the impound lot. Now, jump under the vehicle and you will go through the fence. Voila! Inside are cop cars. Then take it from there.
In San Andreas, level one
(Manderin Mayhem), collect the crate in front of you (pistol), the crate
behind your house (get outta
jail free card) and the crate across the road outside your house (Machine
Gun). Now, follow that road south as far as possible. once
you reach the bottom there is a car park ahead of you. Go to the
south of the carpark, and then follow the line of trees West. You
go behind a building, drive round, and at the top there is a crate with
a bonus multiplyer inside. Then, go backjto the carpark, hop into
the Love Wagon, and get a RC car Kill Frenzy! Quick and easy way
to
get kitted out fast.
I have found two more tanks in Vice city and in San Andreas
Vice City:
Go to the highway in north
Miramire and drive to the west, u will pass a fenced-off area, now go to
the building on the east side of the fenced area and then go to the east
side of that building then find the ramps that lead onto that building
then get yourself a bike and jump over the gap to the fenced off area and
hey presto u got yoself a tank.
San Andreas:
Go to the highway in north
west Sailors Wharf then go to the south just t the first 2-lane street
then follow it till u see a open area surronded by buildings on the south
side of the screen, then drive slowly and look for the hole in the west
side and drive thru.
In the Mandarin Mayhem campaign in San Andreas there is a mission where you have to meet someone down at the Marina and use their car to do a bank job. Immediately after picking up the guy who was at the bank you will get all the cops onto you. Go around to the back of the building and get the crate on the grass there-it has a Police Bribe. This will get rid of them all!
Here's a cool trick I found in Mandarin Mayhem. In the mission where you have to kill the 4 lawyers, when you meet the final lawyer (the one who'll tell about the documents he stole), he'll go, "Just let me go, huh? Please?"
Don't listen to him.
Put him out of commission and you get a
GRATUITOUS VIOLENCE BONUS!
Vice City Secrets:
I have found some secret
missions in Vice City. There is one in north Mirimare, you have to get
quite close to the phones for them to start ringing. There is also a tank
in the area, you have to use a bike to jump over the wall. The other secret
mission is in south vice beach, at the very bottom. You have to walk over
the railway tracks, it doesn't kill you. There is also a multiplier up
nearby. The secret is located in-between the two road bridges that link
vice beach to banana grove.
Bikes fitted with bombs can
be fun when you have to get into
a tight space where cars
won't fit. Here are some examples:
Heist Almighty (Liberty City,
Ch 2)
Same thing as in the one
in Gangsta Bang (except it's 2
pickups this time, and the
killing part is just before
collecting another car).
Mandarin Mayhem (San Andreas,
Ch 1)
If you get the mission with
the combat competition, what
follows is a mission to
kill the DA while he's jogging.
You can't get up there with
a car, but you can with a bike.
It takes a bit of timing
for a rigged bike to explode
right when the DA gets to
that point.
Rasta Blasta (Vice City,
Ch 2)
Now THIS is the way to use
a bike bomb! In the mission where
you have to kill the guys
in the graveyard, you'll find that
you can't get to the guys
with a car. But you can with a bike.
Get a bike wired and take
it those guys. They won't react until
you shoot a gun, so take
your time in placing that bike right in
the middle of the group.
Set the clock and run. If you placed it
right, you'll waste them
ALL AT ONCE!!!
In Vice City chapter 1, head to east Richman Heights. If you follow the railway, you'll see 2 buildings with courtyard-type areas which you can get into by walking under the railway. The one to the South has a van with a remote control car kill frenzy. The northern one has a single phone which starts ringing when you get near it. Pick it up and you'll get a mission to kill the First Lady. Shes at the hospital in Little Dominica.
I found in Liberty City, Gangsta Bang, on the mission where you recover the stolen drugs by stealing the motorcycle, well, the last part of the mission is to drop the drugs and you are to make sure Tony makes the pick-up. If you wait till he makes the pick-up, shoot his ass and kill him. Not sure if you get any more points then completing the mission normally, but its pretty cool anyways.
Did Burro piss you off?
Want a chance to "cap his ass"? Go to the single phone hidden in
North-West Vice Shores, found behind the buildings near the paint shop.
Burro will be in the park in South Vice Shores, surrounded by Rasta gang
members. Load up with full armor and as much firepower as you
can handle; you can't drive
in there. I like to shoot a few, then go back to the paint shop to
get the cops off my ass. The Rastas'll come out of the park, and
are easy targets for a fast car. That leaves Burro alone in the park,
ripe for the wacking... err, blowing... err, bonking... damn it, cap his
ass!
Here is a tip to gain an
extra life in Vice City, level1 (Bent Cop Blues).
OK, first go to the docks
in South East Vice Beach. Near here you will find a foot bridge,
which leads to the island, near the docks. On the island (power plant???)
you will find a tank kill frenzy, take the tank off the island using the
bridge to the south. Note this is not shown on the maps. When
you get the kill frenzy another message will appear telling you to go to
the docks in Felicity, for a special bonus. Head for the docks, use
the tank to smash cars on the way for extra points, but don't waste too
much time as you only have 60 seconds to get there. When you reach
the docks a new crate will have appeared. Smash the crate to reveal
your extra life.
In one of the San Andres' missions, you have to get Yu Fong's car from the Police Impound. I found that by parking the police car (which you have to find to gain access into the impound) just at the gate of the impound, the gates will not close for the rest of the game (although the police car which you used might disappear). Throughout the rest of the game, I was able to then enter the police impound parking lot and pick the car of my choice to use, when I happened to pass that area. The benefit is that there are several fast cars in there and it will not constitute a car jacking if you took a car.
In san andreas there is a insane stunt bonus in north east richman. When you get this you should get a call on the pager. Then drive around richman and hey presto one monster bug kill frenzy!!!
In Vice City I've found 7
or 8 multipliers, one on the military island North East of Vice Beach.
Most hospitals and police stations have goodies on top of them although
it may take a while to go
round all the stairs and
bridges!!! 2nd level of Vice city has a good few Kill Frenzys.
Transit Van in East Meridian has remote control car frenzy and 2 tank frenzies
(you'll need a bike for the one in meridian!!!) Machine gun frenzy in Banana
Grove behind the paintshop under the bend in the rail track.
Once you've gathered a multiplier of 11 or 12 you'll probably be on 3,000,000 points then all you need to do to complete the game is then steal a few cossies and hotrods!!!
TIP : After a kill frenzy is completed on vice city pause the game to read where the bonus is, as it wont repeat the message!!!
In reference to phillip spittle's tip to gat a tank in vice city you can also get to the island by going over athe footbridge next to the docks above the island this footbridge also contains an armor power up which means the guards are not a problem.
This is more of a bug and its very hard to do. In Heist almighty ,Level 1 mission 2, I was doing the remote control car mission. When you blow up mummys car there is a delay before the "camera" goes back to your position. During this delay get out of your car and try moving forwards and getting into another car. you wont be able to see it so it will take a few trys. When I did this the camera pans back tothe white jeep. However I had control of another car (jugular) too. When you go to get out of the car you get out of the jeep.. You still have control of the other car. Thus I was on one side of the city while another car was causing havoc on the other!!!! I think this is a bug in the game and there are very low chances of doing it but its well funny when you do.
When you are in San Andreas (both missions) go to northwest Richman. There's a car there. If you get into the car and drive straight forward you will jump over a large piece of water and get an insane stunt bonus!
There is a Kill Frenzy in San Andreas - Campaign 2. Go to West Woodside and locate the police station there and go up and left of it. You will find a Love Wagon with the usual Remote Control Car Kill Frenzy.
Again in San Andreas - Campaign 2. Go to the very bottom left of the map (West Sunview) and jump the gap you find there using a superbike or bike, a superbike is parked nearby if you need one. When you land on the other side hit the brakes otherwise you may end up in the ocean. Collect the token to get the following message... "The doors to destruction are now open." Jump back across the gap and head for either of the following locations..
1) East Marina in the Large complex there. The gates open when you drive near them in any car.
2) Go to West South East Richmans and head for the park, you will see a tank under a metal grill. Head directly EAST from it and you will come to a fence. Directly below you is a gate that is open. Drive around to it (you will need to go into West Atlantic Heights) and walk in. This leads you to the tank.
LIBERTY CITY
Go to law island with a
motorbike, there are 2 buildings, drive in between them and get to the
water, you should be able to see the island you are aiming for by now,
if you aint you have buggered it. Once you are across there are loads of
crates there is also a motorbike..try it it is great
SAN ANDREAS
Use big bridge (golden gate
lookalike) head towards docks on east of map, it is near a spray shop,
you will have to go through a passage way in a building to get to a ramp
that looks as though it goes into the sea..but it doesnt there is an invisible
platform directly inline with the ramp drive
across it, and nick the
tank..and murder....
VICE CITY
Head for hospital north
east felicity, then go to footbridge by the beach. There is a green penetrator
parked on the grass..do not move it.. get in and drive directly forwards
as fast as you can..you will go through a gap and land on the isalnd..slam
the brakes on or you will bouce off the fence into the sea..look out for
the guards they are sods..have fun
In San Andreas if you get down to southern Woodside (Down from the Golden Gate bridge) there is a smaller bridge, right of it, there is water and a dirt surface or something, use a car without damage and slowly jump down on it. The car will almost break but it won't. There's a stair to get up, but try this: Use a gun, machine gun or flamethrower and blow up the car when standing just a little bit away from it and you will turn on fire. Don't worry, this'll save you: The edge to the water is blocky, just run diagonally from one edge to the other and you won't be on fire anymore. This takes a little practice because if you are not fast enough you will drown. If you use the stairs to get up there's a pool of water. You can do the same there but there's another fun thing to do there: If you're chased by the cops, just stand on the edge of the pool and wait until the cops close, then run over the edge to the other edge straight through the water and the cop will follow you, the thing is, he'll drown and nobody's gonna blame you for it. Sad enough you don't get any point's but it's fun just drowning cops.
In Liberty City, Episode 2, in order to get to the tank on the parking lot, you can also use a tanker to drive through the barrier (avoids trouble with the cops)
- especially in Vice City there are a few missions where you have to run over long pedestrian-only, walk-ama-things to succeed or to get some precious power ups. This goes sloooow. So I thought: why not try a bike? And yeah: if you wanna speed things up in one of these walkie things, just grab yourself a bike and race on!
- Continuing on the same thread: on top of one of the hospitals in Vice City are TWO "multiplier up!" power ups and in another hospital there's one in the hospital itself. Unfortunately, for the roof one, you have to walk a very long walk up stairs and roofs, so grab a bike, dudes!
Running out of lives in the Vice City levels? Try going down to West Little Bogota. On the other side of the building north of the graveyard there's a ramp that will get you up on to a roof, get a bike and jump the roof, and on the other side u'll find a box with an extra life, but the trick here is to get back down from the roof.
There's a "Remote/Radio Car" Frenzy located in a car to the very west of little Bogota in one of the alleys close to the wall thingie.
I found a tank that shoots in Vice City 1, just to the upper left of the starting point. It is enclosed within some fences and buildings, but if you use a bike or super bike to jump a gap between buildings you can get it and a portion of the fence disappears, allowing you to use the tank. There is another area in Vice City that you can do this in, it's in Little Bogota. I haven't got there yet, I keep falling off and dying. You can easily identify jumps, they're gray slanted buildings that remind me of military barracks.
There are two tanks parked in liberty city - chapter 2. They are in an industrial bit in north west Estoria. But neither of them can fire though.
Get the tank by using the police car to get into the army base. Now find a train station quickly and as soon as you find it wait for the train. As soon as it arrives, drive up to the door, people will come rushing out only to be crushed by your metal hulk. Now back up a little and aim straight into the door (before it closes) you will emerge safely out the other side with $20,000 and 40,000 points to your name.
If you cheated to select all maps , drive in San Andreas 2 to East Atlantic Heights , 1 quarter under the Hospital , there is a Monster Truck!
In the first San Andreas mission, you can gain extra lives by using the various secret kill frenzies that are littered around the city...
By far the best of these is a tank YOU CAN FIRE FROM...
To get the tank, cross the big golden gate bridge and immediately go East when you reach the southern shore. Now go back up to the shore and you'll find a building with a hole you can drive through... Keep going and you'll find a long peninsular on the other side of the building which you can drive along (also some shallow water) This'll get you to the tank...
Another fun one is the remote control car bombs. These can be found in two of the car parks on the northern shore, hidden in a Love Wagon...
The coolest one to find (I was totally astounded to find you can walk on building roofs) is the flamethrower kill frenzy. One of the missions involves you following a guy to a building with a blue and white stripped canopy and then stealing a beetle, rigging it with explosive and taking it back. If you go round to the south face of this building, you'll find some stairs up to the roof. The flamethrower's up here...
If you get the mission where you should make sure a dope dealer makes his delivery, you'll immediately get a mission to follow a competitor, do so by foot, finding a car can mean failing your mission. Now when you have tracked him down, to where he's going to. Find a car and drive around back, and you can with ease drive down the bastards shooting at you. Don't try to outgun them, that tactic will only work 1 out of 4 times if you are lucky.
Ok, I found out how to get the tank - you steal a cop car in Liberty City and then that allows you to drive into the army base, and then you get into the tank.
(In regards to the above
tip)
You can also use an Ambulance
to do it.
Follow the lawyer:
In the mission following
the tanker truck mission in Liberty City, you are instructed to follow
a lawyer and if he meets with his associates, you're suppose to kill them
all. The lawyer moves just about as fast as you do so make sure you
keep up, otherwise you will fail the mission. When he gets to his
destination he will meet with a few thugs with automatic weapons hanging
around in an alleyway. You cannot drive a car in entrance to the
alley that the lawyer took however, you can go in the back way and run
most of them down. Soon after you will have a large number of cops
chasing you, so make sure you have a car at all times and after you complete
the mission and run them all down. Then, find a respray shop or a
police bribe before the cops get to you. Additionally I found that
the last guy I ran down was far to the south of the original lot.
I don't know if his location is constant, but if it is, there is a respray
shop due east of his location.
